Every now and then, life hands us a phrase or idea that feels too powerful to ignore. Recently, while playing around with ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, I stumbled across a workshop title that stopped me in my tracks:
Rooted in Worth.
Or maybe Rooted and Worthy.
Either way, the words hit differently. They felt grounded, hopeful, and—honestly—like something I’d love to build into a workshop, a brand, or even a movement someday.
It all started innocently enough. I was searching for self-worth workshop ideas, and the first thing that popped up was a ready-made outline for a class called Rooted in Worth: Reclaiming Your Inner Value. It was beautiful—gentle, structured, therapeutic. And it sparked something in me.
I laughed thinking about how my Uncle Joe would react if I told him AI was helping me brainstorm workshop ideas and marketing plans for his coffee. I’m pretty sure he’d know someone—maybe even James—who could help promote it. That’s just how my family is: everything seems connected to someone, somehow.
The Beauty of Finding Meaning in Memories
That phrase, Rooted in Worth, stuck with me as my mind wandered down a rabbit hole of memories—some tender, some chaotic, some filled with the kind of humor only time can give.
And speaking of rabbit holes: I recently told Joe that I’d gone down one with ChatGPT, and he just grinned. Fast-forward a few days, and I’m sitting at work when my brother stops in to give me an early birthday gift before I head to Orlando for a conference.
He hands me a Wildflowers shirt, a Wildflowers CD, and a Tom Petty album. Not only is Tom Petty one of my favorites, but “Wildflowers” has always felt like one of the most spiritually grounding songs ever written. My brother mentions that “Case Dega” (Tom Petty’s version of Talladega) is known as being a spiritual place. That made me pause—because the timing of all of this felt meaningful.
Then he shows me old photos of one of my early ATSA conferences in San Diego, and suddenly we’re laughing, remembering the breakfasts at Richard Walker’s Pancake House. (Fun fact: the coffee cup there has a rabbit on it—hilariously appropriate considering my whole rabbit-hole-with-AI saga.)
We reminisced about visiting Coronado Island, where I insisted everyone walk all the way to the golf course so I could buy gifts for Grandpa Max and Dad. The group was grumpy, but I was determined. Somewhere, in someone’s drawer, there’s still a golf ball and hat to prove it happened.
We ate at Kansas City BBQ—the Top Gun bar made famous by “Great Balls of Fire.” And of course, someone made a Taylor Swift joke: it’s gonna be forever, or it’s gonna go down in flames.
Life has a funny way of weaving music, memories, family, and meaning together like that.
Maybe This Is All Leading Somewhere
All these little synchronicities—the workshop name, the coffee references, the Tom Petty gifts, the rabbit-themed café memory—made me wonder if perhaps all these threads are part of something bigger.
I started imagining a future where Rooted and Worthy isn’t just a workshop title. Maybe it becomes a brand, or a tour, or a family-of-faith project. Maybe it’s a restaurant, or a retreat center, or a gathering place for storytelling artists and speakers.
Maybe, just maybe, it becomes a way to share God stories—our own stories—with the world.
My cousin Becky used to work for Women of Faith, and I can picture something like that: gathering people together, offering encouragement, weaving hope through conversations, music, and truth.
Rooted and Worthy: A Dream, A Reminder, A Calling

Whether or not it becomes something big and public, the message itself matters:
✨ You are rooted. You are worthy.
✨ You are grounded in value, even when life feels chaotic.
✨ Your worth is not fragile. It’s woven into who you are.
For me, the phrase has become a reminder that creativity, faith, humor, memory, and connection all have their place in the healing journey. And sometimes the things that feel random—the songs, the AI searches, the coffee jokes, the old conference photos—are part of a much larger story unfolding.
Maybe this is just the beginning.
Maybe all of this is planting seeds.
Maybe being rooted and worthy is the foundation for whatever comes next.
And honestly? I kind of love that.
