Shepherd Way Counseling is celebrating its 20th anniversary!
I can hardly believe that it’s been 20 years since I started my journey to becoming a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, life coach, author, and speaker. How time flies!
In honor of this personal and professional milestone, I wanted to celebrate by creating something special for the Belmont, NC, community.
And I have found the perfect way. Since I’ve spent nearly two decades helping people transform their lives, I’ve decided to create and facilitate a women’s workshop on May 3rd, 2025.
I’ve always been drawn to the long-standing tradition of women coming together in intentional, supportive spaces. Historically, these gatherings occurred around fires, in temples, and within nature—spaces where wisdom was shared, healing was facilitated, and collective strength was nurtured. For me, these circles represent more than just connection; they are powerful environments for growth, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.
I’ve known for a long time that an event like my May 3rd, 2025 workshop is something our community needs as well. Through my own experiences—and in supporting others—I’ve learned that healing doesn’t have to be overwhelming or retraumatizing. It can be a gentle, empowering process.
With that desire to say “thank you” to all of the beautiful people who have supported me over the last twenty years, I’ve created a one-day healing workshop for women called “From Fairy Tales to Face Lifts: Learning to Love the Image in the Mirror” © on May 3, 2025, at my office in Belmont, NC.
This workshop is not focused on sharing (but you can if you want to!); it’s structured with healing and learning activities to help you self-reflect. There is beauty in the ashes, and choosing to heal is liberating.

The per-person cost is $200.00 and must be paid in advance to reserve a spot. No refunds will be given after one week before the group.
This Women’s Workshop Includes:
• Continental Breakfast
• Exercises and Healing Activities
• Art and Music Therapy
• Guided Imagery
• Small and Large Group Work
• Connection, Repair and Growth
• Insight and healing
• An Afternoon Snack
• Resources and Materials to Take Home
This workshop will focus on helping women heal from relational trauma, supporting the healing of negative body image, providing steps forward in self-care and boundaries, and supporting them in finding their voices.
