In my previous post, I talked about a visit to Mary Help of Christians Basilica at Belmont Abbey in 2022 and all of the thoughts and emotions that swirled around during our brief time there.

On that same walk at the Abbey, a woman passed us wearing a red hat that said “Make America Great Again.” She waved cheerfully and wished us a “Happy Feast Day of Saint Teresa!”

I smiled and thought:

What if instead of trying to “Make America Great Again,”
we tried to “Make America Love Better”?

Maybe that’s the calling.
Maybe that’s the reminder.
Maybe that’s the mission behind Loved Just As I Am and the path ahead.

Rooted in Worth. Rooted in Love. Rooted in Him.

My entire journey—from my wedding night to ancient history to neuroscience to Facebook memories—has led to one undeniable truth:

Love flows from the heart
because that’s where God placed it.

Our hearts are the sacred chambers where He pours His affection, guidance, and presence.
Our task is simply to open them.

And once we do, we are called to share that love—with courage, with compassion, and with the full confidence that we are
rooted, worthy, and loved just as we are.
